Don't let Elsee touch the flame, her life's interesting enough already.

And to be honest, full transformations tend to screw over the hunter. A warrior can cope with or even benefit from losing weapon access if they’re built right, but hunters have only one (admittedly awesome) bit of melee synergy to use with their wolf claw or what have you. Still love the mechanice though :D

Yeah, I’ve been hesitant to transform arms for hunters in particular, but a fully-transformed wolf with the stealth on kill and bonus action on kill can quickly get pretty ridiculous.

It was a close vote, but self immolation won.

She's not dead! Everyone but us are surprised!

Time to melt some machines! We also get a legacy point from this!

This is not to bad – if we can deal with the two big guys. All the enemy get a bonus hitpoint.

The mission starts Molis literally right next to the Wardrobe!

KAPOW! Take that you pile of splinters!

The mages start on the Coachman.

I can't reach him here, so I go for the Watchman.

Elsee finishes the kill.

Molis dodges the Batchby's attack, then the Coachman charges.

It flings Elsee, but she doesn't take any wounds.

Molis uses her double attack to take out the Batchby.

Thalwea takes a shot at the Coachman.

Chayline hits it with magic, then finishes it with her staff.

Elsee then opens the door to let in the rest of the enemies – this looks like a nice chokepoint!

The Butler walks into her guardian range.

Then it hits her.

The rest pile on in.

Elsee's new ability is a cone of flame – but the Morthagi mostly tank it.

Suffer not the weldling to live amongst us!

Thalwea deals with the Butler.

Her sister takes out the Sommlier by igniting the terrain under it.

Elsee seems to be something of a bullet magnet.

If someone takes damage, it seems to be her.

This flamethrower is more effective!

Why is everything always on fire when the Morthagi are around?

Molis cleans up.

Not a bad fight.

I boost Thalwea's accuracy, as we're getting closer to the final battle.

Look, she's a fire goddess. Get used to it.

Yeah, I don't think this team can say anything about weird looking transformations.

I don't think Molis can pass any judgement here.

For these minor enemies this is not a problem.

Levbear joins with Broadswipes.

We jump to another team.

Bears are cool.

Grabs popcorn.

It must have been a thrilling story!

Oh god, we're going to touch the bear, aren't we?

So do we stay or do we go now?

Ayloth follows the bear.

It look like he will be facing whatever he finds alone! As our most capable warrior, I'm not worried for him.

He wanders into the night.

She looks suspiciously bear-themed.

And she's another nutjob living alone.

I hope the bread is a metaphor.

So we're not going to die of carbon monoxide poisoning, good to know.

She's been here a while then.

Heatless flame? Is she a ghost?

I think Ayloth suspects as well.

Still not convinced she's not going to fade away. She could just be a mad hermit though.

I do not trust the 97 year old bread.

He needed a dentist. Check.

ANSWER THE QUESTION! Geez, why do these hermits have to be so mysterious about if they are alive or not?

Okay, so bears have two modes, lovable dufus and unstoppable killing machine. I don't thing we're seeing a wise spirit guardian honey loving bear here. This is more the “Lets go kill Leo” story.

Eaten by a bear is still not a good way to go.

Called it!

Nice lad.

What are you planning Ayloth?

It's going to be us isn't it. Alyoth isn't the type to walk away from things like this.

Oh, this is a transformation? That makes it more of an interesting choice!

I think it's new! There used to be a different, much shorter event for this transformation (where the character is just wandering the plains alone and is attacked by a ghost bear). They must have rewritten it with a better story.

Of course we're going to go fight the bear.

This has got a “he's going to his death” vibe, but this is Ayloth. I'm in no way worried.

We find the ghost bear.

We'll give you one chance to stand down.

It's not listening.

That sounds like a good offer.

Which it is not taking.

After a huge amount of build up (with a very good story I will admit) we come to the climatic battle.

Ayloth one shots the bear on the first turn. It did not know who it was loving with.

It's both funny and a little anti-climatic.

We get a nice broach from it.

Hard?

And now we get to the transformation I guess!

We're being followed by the ghost of a ghost bear.

Yep! Pet Ghost Ghost bear! Were you not listening?

That would be nice.

Tall tales are always great. I can guess a group of heroes would either not bother or try and best each other.

We've put two ghosts to rest this night.

Back on the world map, we find the tower!

This might be the last fight of the campaign, so I send Ayloth south to make sure we can do it – this also has the added side benefit of taking enoguh time to allow the conclusion of the other ongoing story.

Death makes people fatalistic.

Do we start the fight, or try and exist peacefully?
