Loki was like 40 years old by that point tho. So probably Luffy, who's just a tad older than Shirahoshi. Nothing too concrete came of them meeting yet but it did lead to Shirahoshi awakening her powers again for the first time since Otohime died and has set things up nicely for whenever the time comes to fulfill Joy Boy's promise. That said, it could still be about something we don't know about.

It feels like over a year since we've last seen Bonney and Lillith, I can't even recall if they showed up since the island got invaded other than maybe a reaction shot

I'd be happy if Bonney just gets to be a kid for awhile, maybe showing up near the end with a restored Kuma to help out & bask in the nika.
