It looks charming enough. It seems like the folks behind it are passionate fans, so I'm treating it as fanart or something like that. Sure it'll be wonky in some ways and cringey in others, but as long as it's got its heart in the right place it'll be fine, and I'll probably enjoy it for what it is. As a piece of absurdly expensive fanart. As a show judged on its own merits, lol, I've got zero expectations, except certainty that Netflix will cancel it instantly regardless of quality.

Yes, regardless of the quality of the adaptation, Netflix has shown that they will cancel a show if it's not immediately become extremely popular. Like that Sandman show, I heard it's good from the reviewers I trust but there's no confirmation that Netflix is going to continue with that show. EDIT Personally for this adaptation, I just hope for the best, but expecting the worst (CGI)

Best to set expectations low and not get too offended if it's a wholy different thing. Between the Series of Unfortunate Events adaption (great one, very honest to the source) and the Bebop adaption (bad, but watchable) they at least go full throttle on these.
