I got one too and every time I try to play a second women's match in a 24 hour period, the game either shuts down or automatically changes the participants to Jay Lethal and Tony Nese. Hope they can patch this out.

The wrestling parts seem cool but I'm kinda confused about why there seem to be so many mini-games that are only very tangentially related to wrestling. I don't think I want to play Simon Says or hit a baseball or run around collecting coins in a wrestling game.

They probably signed too many developers so they had to create a separate track of work for them to keep busy. The mini games will be under a separate mode called AEW: Fight Forever: Dark

There have been a few good games that aren't just good throw backs but are as good as your memory of that style of game. Games like Shovel Knight. I'm really hoping Fight Forever hits that level. Some of my favorite memories as a kid were playing WCW vs NWO Worldwide, Revenge, WM 2000, No Mercy, Smackdown 1 -2, Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain. I spent maybe 100 hours playing those games between 97 and 2005. It was basically the entire 2nd part of my childhood lol

I have really high hopes because the last wrestling game I got any enjoyment out of was the still pretty flawed 2K19. I gave 2K22 a go and I just really hated the new reversal system and never could get the hang of it, and it’s nearly impossible in online play if there’s any lag.

i hope the game is fun. but it will never be like the old games. im not gonna need to wave a perfect test in front of my mom to let me stay over at my friends house to drink candy drinks and stay up all night struggling with his broken n64 controller to play this. i can just click it in steam and ignore a work zoom at 10 am instead. you can never go home again. should be fun though

I hope that horrendous ring effect whenever someone takes a hit is an option that can be turned off. That would be a complete deal breaker for me. Is that an homage to an old school game or something? I don't understand why they would think that was a good idea.

I'm really hoping this is good, I have wresting empire (which is pretty fun and funny) and fire pro (which might be fun if I liked the managing aspect more but I don't) and I' d just really like a game with official wrestlers/themes/announcers that is also fun to play and doesn't have gamebreaking bugs while you're playing any aspect of it. I would pay for commentary DLC that's just Ex/Taz doing their most deranged Dark commentary.
