Friends and neighbors, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of another weekend!  And its gonna be an three-day for a lot of us, so this thread will stay open until monday night in celebration of labor day or arbor day or whatever the gently caress it is. This weekend I'ma try to make a shoe closet by the front door so i can stop tripping over the big pile of shoes, so I'm heading out to buy some plywood and probably gonna buy myself some new power tools as a treat. I'm feeling less drained this weekend than I have been for some time, so I'm excited. What y'all gettin up to on this long -rear end weekend?

left town like 12:30, hit Forks Of The Credit with nobody in front of me, nailing the gear change into the uphill hairpin perfectly, and arrived at my destination a little sweaty but fine. think my GoPro overheated lol. it's like 28 out

the weekend! it's too hot to do anything with an UV index of 10~12, so i'll probably lounge around and suffer in this 40C heat for the next seven days.. at least it's a long weekend might work on learning scala or something since i am stuck indoors, i guess?? we just had a team meeting to meet the new guy who is also a BS CS student and he's so god drat earnest about writing code it makes me ill so i'm just not going to write code any more until tuesday, maybe wensday or thursday if i can help it. happy weekend

I fired my cleaning service a few weeks ago, and while I've been keeping the place tidy the lack of a deep cleaning has left it in quite a state. So I'm going to do a deep clean this weekend, and hopefully have a new cleaning service hired to come in regularly starting the week after next.

i took thursday off and don't go back until tuesday, my weekend has already overflowed the thread. mostly cleaning my place up, i will be hosting a friend in october and it's probably been ten years since someone besides me spent a night in my house.

I have a wedding to go to, first one in a long time. Got a new suit. Should be fun... except it's on the Monday, I'm bringing the kids, and it's going to be 99% people speaking a different language the whole time. I don't even know if they drink, I don't think so. Might bring a flask.

took a hit of weekend. going to make some burritos for dinner, starting the prep in a little bit here.. i do like cooking, so this definitely helps me decompress.. and i'm glad to read that everyone is having a decent weekend!
