Hello, and welcome to the fantasy hockey thread for the 2022-2023 NHL season, where hopefully every loving player won't be on IR with Covid.

Websites to Play On:
Yahoo! Sports: http://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/
ESPN: http://games.espn.go.com/frontpage/hockey
CBC: http://hockeypool.cbc.ca/cbc/hnicp12/notice
CBS: http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyhockey

I think almost everyone uses Yahoo for their leagues. All my dumbass leagues auto renewed which I hate because I like to at least gatekeep invites ever so slightly by having people confirm that they're playing by clicking an email and opening a few links. I might ask for confirmation or something for the people who auto renewed. Obviously with the HHL I'll need keepers from all players.

Goon Leagues
I only added the leagues I am active in - please let me know if you want yours added to the OP.

Yeah I should add I just sent out renewal invites for both leagues. I'm sure there will be spots but I'm unsure about how many.

Also unsure on draft times for either league, generally I like to draft as close to the start of season as possible.

It's earlier this year if we want to start before the games played in Europe (Oct 7th). The NA start is October 11th. Seems like it would be easier to just plan for the weekend/monday before the 11th.

In for HHL and LSL again. I can draft any night that isn't Thursday/Sunday, and even then I could probably make it happen depending on time.

For my HHL keepers I am thinking:
Robert Thomas: $1>$2 (first time keeper)
Jason Robertson: $2>$3 (second time keeper)
Lucas Raymond: $2>$3 (first time keeper)
Cale Makar: $85>$102 (first time keeper)
$110 total

With enough notice in advance I can basically draft any night, though Thursday night is easily my most open since I don’t work Friday’s. I’d prefer to start as early as 7 EST (or even earlier if we could manage it) so I can get some sleep before work at 5 in the morning. Maybe LSL on Wednesday the 5th and HHL Thursday the 6th? Or I could in theory make the 9th and 10th work if it’s not too late.

Gonna leave it open until end of tomorrow for the old managers and then open it up to the new teams.

HHL people, I'll get the list of the ineligible keepers up soon.

quoting last year for rules

quote:

The keeper cost is their cost last year + 20% (and you can keep up to 4 players), and that your budget is $500 (with you keeper budget subtracted from your draft budget for the actual draft). Any money you don't spend in the draft is added to your $100 FAAB budget (you can still add players for free during the season, but FAAB is used for players on waivers).

We're actually full in the LSL and HHL now pending a few invites. I've PMed those first on the queue for the LSL.

Given all the (somewhat surprising, dead forums etc) interest in fantasy hockey this year, in my hubris I've opened up another league: The Denis Lemieux Memorial League -- this is a more traditional scoring league (no hits/blocks). It's still H2H and it also has a neat little twist in that you can trade draft picks. This league also has no bench slots and just 3 waiver acquisitions per week, so it's much easier to set your lineup on a weekly basis.

So come on over and express your inner Jim Rutherford. I'm going to leave the public invite for this one here: https://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey/71986/invitation?key=79bf1c2a02d2d2b8&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=42eae1ba91139aad

HHL Keeper Rules

You can keep up to 4 players from your final roster last year, and your budget is $500 (with you keeper budget subtracted from your draft budget for the actual draft). The keeper cost is the player's cost last year + 20% (rounded up).

Link to last year's costs: https://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/2021/hockey/33178/draftresults?drafttab=team

Link to last year's final rosters: https://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/2021/hockey/33178?pspid=782205797&activity=hockey (click on standings to find your team)

If they're not on there, they were added to your roster for $1 via free agency (and will cost $2 as a keeper), save for these players, who were added via FAAB:

Evgeni Malkin Pit - C
$51 Winning Offer

Jakub Vrana Det - LW
$7 Winning Offer

Josh Manson Col - D
