If an emperor allows something called the "dark service" to exist outside of his control you might as well just behead yourself and save everyone the trouble.

Even with how quickly they died those nameless scapegoat soldiers actually lived far longer than I thought they would.

So, is the theoretical essence of yesterday's news always yesterdays news? Like, if you wait a day, does it stay the same (thereby becoming two days ago's news) or remain the concept of news from roughly 24 hours ago?

Since "yesterday's news" is turn of phrase this would depend on if a magnus understands the concept. The magnus may also hold the fundamental essence of old news in general. if you release that, does someone just learn some old news they hadn't heard before? Do they suddenly get a feeling of "oh I already knew about that" out of nowhere? We need to know!

Giacamo kept his taste in hats.

Anyways looking forward to the child inexplicably present with the evil people turning into the final boss.

A fight you have to win so you can lose in a cutscene so you can win in a cutscene. There's probably at least one step you could cut there.

Speaking of Metal Gear (?!) any time a bunch of soldiers start ineffectively shooting at something many times larger than themselves I can't help but start thinking "WHOOOOOOOOOOOO?!"

I really need this game to comment on how despite the other dream (for lack of a better word) characters not being able to see Guillo and Milly they must have seen the worm react to getting hit by nothing.

Avert your eyes, boys and girls. Dare I say it, the game is about to get ~ political ~.

To avert intercontinental war I want you to unite the continents in war against the empire. Okay I'm sure he meant more behind the scenes machinations but what else could possible happen.

Maybe the empire could rustle up the fundamental essence of flying around the incredibly dangerous desert on the back of giant creatures you can control with giant hunks of meat.

I have to say magnus also being audio logs does change everything (but also won't).

I feel like all we're doing right now is establishing layers to Sagi's naivety. First we had "What do you mean the evil empire's secret police is being evil?!" Then we had "What do you mean the evil empire tracked me down to my home?!" And now we are in the middle of "What do you mean working for the evil empire isn't actually going to result in justice?!"

I can't believe the Mourning Mistral was the one NPC with a character portrait all along.

And I, much like our protagonists, can't believe the evil empire was willing to attack unarmed civilians just because they were protecting a (in their view) terrorist!

While we will regrettably not be pushing Geldoblame off a ledge this time, we do get set on fire a whole lot and that's sort of the same thing, right?

I didn't quite catch how using armor cards work but it feels like you might have to use them for Boss Bein? Even what looks like a standard combo did 2/3's of anyone's health. Anyways preach it Bein, your sacrifice for another tiny chip in Sagi's moron protagonist armor will not be forgotten ("What do you mean the evil empire wants me to kill someone who just wanted to protect his community after being pushed too far?")

Just going from the empty fields I wasn't too sold on the aesthetic of the town but after the seeing the interior of that house and its inhabitants and their terrible puns I'm more on board than ever.

Man I do not know how the game wants me to feel about these umbra things. They were a boss and now just seem to exist to get clowned on in a cutscene and send Sagi and company off to things betwixt.

Ancient magical orders battling ancient gods really need to stop randomly scattering unimaginably powerful pieces around without a second thought of where they might end up.

I think I'd be happy to see this continue with the English VA. I always figured re-using the original voice lines is just some potential contract dispute that isn't worth someone's money to work out, unfortunately. And honestly these kinds of games always seem to look better slightly fuzzy.

I can't believe Fedule managed to talk over the in-game mail asking people to apply to tri-Crescendo and Sagi saying he's already gainfully employed. That seemed like a perfect thing to set off a rant, and would've answered some questions that he ended up asking about Sagi's employment.

My questions revolve around what exactly checking them out "online" means in this world.

Anyways does anyone else find it pretty weird that you actually can just... pull the wings out? Seems like this is something that would happen a lot just by accident.

drat can't believe the high ranking fascist politician in the evil fascist empire was an evil fascist politician.

I understand the temptation to go full Palpatine with your final-final villain reveal but yeah there really wasn't any build up there at all. It would have been just as effective to have Verus remain as his calm and (supposedly) calculating self, if less hilarious.

But on the other hand so, you know, that's worth something.

Okay I know it probably wasn't really a "decision" because that was not an ending anybody could have been happy with but of all the things what a bizarre decision to have a portion of the drama in the dramatic escape depend on NOT fighting the optional bosses and a HUGE portion depend on just some random wall tentacles. Like I've seen plenty of rushed "Aw poo poo oh gently caress we gotta clear up this plot point" in endings (like, say, the rest of the ending) but that escape sequence is incredibly clunky. I think I felt like the first game had one ending too many but man it was an actual ending.

I am amused by Sagi just slicing Guillo's head off though. Unless you can just pull it off, which is even funnier.

Luckily I'm not judging the LP for the ending of the game. Thanks for showing this off!
