I think there are a bunch of people who can create trailing images. I know some who could do this as if they were just going out for a stroll.
Yeah signs are pointing towards the remaster being JP voices only (cowards!!) so I vote to just continue with the GC version.

Specifically:

Namco also removed the English VO in the Katamari remaster so this sounds pretty plausible to me...

Yeah... this final dungeon brings to mind various pseudo-randomly generated bonus dungeons, which is not where you want to be with a mandatory and technically designed one.
