I remember seeing ads on the mid-80s Discovery Channel for multi-tape VHS compilations of World War Two stock footage and my very conservative dad getting annoyed because they were narrated by Walter Cronkite.

Also ads for Celestial Seasonings tea and a labor union ad that ended in "Here's to productivity, it's what America is all about."
