What are some good fairy tales or folk tales? http://www.davidgorman.com/maxundmoritz.htm I like the way this set of stories ends. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Honest_Woodcutter This story is pretty widespread around the world. I remember first encountering it as a "traditional Korean fairy tale", but apparently it originally comes from Greece. https://etc.usf.edu/lit2go/72/japanese-fairy-tales/4881/the-story-of-urashima-taro-the-fisher-lad/ Here's a bit of a longer story, which is really famous in Japan. What are some you enjoy?

The Three Army Surgeons by the Brothers Grimm is a personal favorite. The three surgeons need a place to stay for the night and the innkeeper asks them to leave three of their organs overnight to prove their abilities. Or something like that. https://www.worldoftales.com/fairy_tales/Brothers_Grimm/Margaret_Hunt/The_Three_Army-Surgeons.html#gsc.tab=0

i am a big fan of Big Klaus and Little Klaus. Early Hans Christen Anderson story. very chaotic and violent. very questionable moral. not for young ones but i told it to my teenage nephew and he loved it. doubted me at first but once he heard it, well, he was in.
