in that time we've made music playing mediums increasingly less cool. 'here, listen to this' i say as i press a bunch of buttons on a small box to make it come out of a bigger box meanwhile both wax cylinders and tapes existed, letting you slot an object in a cool way and sounds happen

Sadly it's a cheapie little guy that just shits out serial, so i always have like 8-13 ms jitter as far as I can tell. I'd like to get one of those fancy schmancy ones with the PPS output and like 10^-8 precision or w/e

yeah it’s microseconds if you want a very random project take a look at this: https://bitbucket.org/fernya/igb-pps-guide/src/master/ the good ole Intel i210 NIC has good hardware timing for ptp and gpio for both a pps in and out. there’s a little 6 pin header on the card for gpio
