Just buy Brother color laser printers and never worry about a stupid printer again. They generally speaking just work and don't come with endless bloatware. The only time I had to replace ours is when I accidentally forgot to remove the toner before throwing it in a moving van and driving 250 miles and toner ended up shaking out all over to the point where it needed replacing.

Well, passive PoE was a bit of a mess, the newer varieties are much better. And just because you could get a gigabit PoE switch in 2004, it was hardly the “standard”. It’d be more comparable to 10 gig stuff now.
