HM 5th May Dragongate Dead Or Alive Open The Brave Gate Title Jason Lee(c) vs Dragon Dia Watch this here MOTYC 5th May Dragongate Dead Or Alive Open The Twin Gate Titles Kongo (Kenoh & Shuji Kondo)(c) vs Z-Brats (ISHIN & KAI) Watch this here MOTYC 5th May Dragongate Dead Or Alive Open The Dream Gate Title Shun Skywalker(c) vs Madoka Kikuta Watch this here So yeah, the Dream Gate match is a must watch. Absolutely DG at it's best, if you don't like the promotion or don't know the promotion's style it's a fantastic match to jump in & watch. Dead or Alive was a pretty up & down show. The highs like the main event were obviously terrific. The lows like the Ultimo tag match were just unsatisfying but then it's a 2023 Ultimo match. I'm extremely ready for him to be done with the promotion again but apparently that seems unlikely. Diamante losing his mask to the 56 year old guy who clearly can't be arsed anymore is going to be dumb as poo poo & I don't care how well they tell that story. But hey, Kenoh is a terrific fit in DG so let's focus on that rather than my grumpiness about Utimo.

MOTYC 4th May Pro Wrestling NOAH Majestic 2023 GHC Heavyweight Title Jake Lee(c) vs Naomichi Marufuji Watch this here I really didn't think Jake would hit this much in NOAH. I mean, I liked him in All Japan but having a fresh set of guys to work with has really been a breath of fresh air for him.

We Are FREEDOMS! 2023 Barbwire Board Deathmatch ERE (Takayuki Ueki, Toshiyuki Sakuda & Violento Jack) vs UNCHAIN (Jun Kasai, Masashi Takeda & Minoru Fujita) Watch this here If there was any doubt in my mind that I love Takayuki Ueki it was quickly assuaged in this, his comeback match since getting hurt on FREEDOMS Golden Week show in 2022. He's so charismatic. He's also crazy & does some big dumb deathmatch spots. Sakuda gets the bamboo stakes in his cheek which never fails to make me go "AAAAAAAAGH". Kasai headsbutt someone while wearing a crown of barbed wire. Deathmatches are so cool. This really took me back to earlier ERE vs UNCHAIN matches from 2021 & 2022 which are just great multiman tag deathmatches. (As a side note, the prematch preview video features a soundtrack of Machine Head's From This Day, which is one of the funniest bad songs in nu-metal history & that predisposed me to liking this whole match even more) HM 3rd May Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS We Love FREEDOMS! GCW The Way I Am, 5/20 HM: GCW World Championship - Masha Slamovich (c) vs. LuFisto vs. Allysin Kay vs. Shazza McKenzie vs. Maki Itoh A little clunky in the beginning, but Maki doing some of the greatest spots I've ever seen her do HM: Effy v Blake Christian I don't watch enough GCW to know that Blake is reaaaaallly heel there, but this match was pretty cool! Effy is incredibly over HM: GCW Tag Team Championship - The East West Express (Jordan Oliver & Nick Wayne) (c) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Los Macizos (Ciclope & Miedo Extremo) MCMG doing a hometown show, those guys are electric in-person. Still can't believe I didn't want to cheer for NICK loving WAYNE MOTYC GCW Ultraviolent Championship - Rina Yamashita (c) v Jimmy Lloyd A bloodbath. Jimmy was on the Muta scale less than 3 minutes in. Some absurd spots, crazy finish that was just a little too slow to be perfect, but it was awesome seeing these two go at it
