On further investigation I was wrong, there's a father-son rule and a father-daughter rule, but the AFL has only 'considered' mother-son and mother-daughter rules, presumably in no rush because we're still 5-10 years away from it mattering

Seeing a lot of people ripping into Heeney on social media for right wing/fascist/MAGA views ... but not actually seeing what it was he said. Not that I'd be surprised or doubt it, but strange so many people are on about it without anyone actually saying/showing what he's done?

He's likely a decent enough person who in days gone past would just vote Liberal and be done with it. However they get conned by this idea of "powerful people" and either take a blind eye or just arent smart enough to see the damage to people that these conmen are committing. I know a (thankfully small) amount of people who have praised trump despite the writing on the wall. These are otherwise charitable and pleasant people but they are just so incredibly blessed by their position in life that they cant see how good the society around them is at both propping them up and insulating them against actual hardship. Yet they will back people who actively are tearing out their own support structure. It boggles my brain for sure.

There was a period where Melbourne looked like they were about to run over the top of us, and they should have, and then they just totally stopped. The team on paper is still good. Melbourne *should* be a good team, there's just something wrong and yeah maybe it is Goodwin. I hate always pinning everything on the coach but it feels like its the most obvious next move
