Lol George just kind of goes face first for the couch and breaks both of his arms every time he sits down, while jerry kind of sublimates and comes up under from within the couch cushions. :thunkin:

Almost every scene is “hey guys did you hear about the new restaurant?”

Also I heard the same joke twice in two different stand up sessions so I suppose the training set isn’t that big.

The novelty of it wears off after a little bit because there's no continuity between 'scenes' so each time they start a new topic, but man is it hilarious and impressive that it exists and functions. Jerry just told a haunting story onstage about being trapped in an elevator for hours and trauma dumped about being relieved he would never go through it again and the audience laughed

I wonder if anyone has tried AI generated standup in an actual comedy club. It seems like you could kill at an open mic with a five minute set of mundane sort-of-jokes in a robotic deadpan style if your timing and look was just right.

I haven"t heard of any cases, but there is the Dudesy podcast which often features Will Sasso reading AI generated scripts, pretty much always while doing some sort of impression. It's always good fun.

Fuck you say?
They've based their laugh track timings on Big Bang Theory episodes, clearly

I don't know why this is making me crack up so hard but the surreal nature of it is mesmerising. It's like the GTA5 stream of the invincible deer running through the city, it's hard to look away from

Yeah, but that happens when you watch multiple stand-up sessions from the same comedian, too. Especially if they were close together. poo poo, some have one or two jokes that'll show up in every set for years and years.

AI generated stuff like this could become so good someday that we'll be able to make episodes of The Simpsons that don't suck

If they allow people to vote on what is funny and what isn't, you'd have a pretty good model of how make funny situations and jokes I think

I just saw a stand-up routine where he read the stage directions constantly. Pause for laughter. Pause again for laughter. Pause again, laugh. Pause for response. And when it cut to the next scene it was just a silent, empty apartment for five seconds before cutting away to another stand-up routine.

Interesting concept, gets repetitive really fast but it's fine as background noise. Never ever read Twitch chat.

It's the very first episode, lol. (Don't blame you for not remembering it though, the first season sucked.)

I didn't see anything funny except the animations are a little amusing. Like very slowly crouching down to sit in a chair and weird gesticulations. What bothers me the most though is they made Jerry "Larry" when George is the one that's supposed to be based on Larry David. Like I get why but it just bothers me
