I’m on day two, have already taken offensive amounts of poo poo from a couple of teenagers, an old man playing boules, a racist dockworker, a union boss, a loving corpse on a tree, almost died from sitting in a chair, and basically hope everyone in this city dies. gently caress them all, gently caress this place. The best part of that game was converting the party boy into a HARDCORE ultra-liberal and having him shout something like “eat the poor….yeeeeeah party people!!” while pumping up the rave. That and becoming insanely rich.

The other thing was the writing was either ugly and hostile or sort of boring to me. The humour wasn't funny, just sarcastic and verbose. A Politics game could be interesting but it's presented under layers of unappealing poo poo that just put me in a bad mood. Tried the game twice, felt the same both times.

I liked Disco Elysium. It's a fun ride, altho I'm more interested in the gameplay where you can take very different approaches to the same problems. Going from a sorry-cop to a hobo superstar in different playthroughs was fun. The story is largely the same but it's fun to see the perception shift based on whether you take it seriously or treat it all as a joke.

Up was not even fair. It comes at you hard right away and then comes back in later for the finisher. There's no shame in crying to that movie. I'm surprised nobody has posted about Red Dead Redemption 2 yet!

i cried both times i watched a beautiful mind at the end when russel crowe thanks jennifer connelly for sticking with him even though he is batshit it took me a long time to get on top of my depression and that was relatable and hit me in the feels

The investigation always ending the same way with the same culprit no matter what you did or how you did it was a real bummer. They even wrote in the point where it could conveniently deviate to any number of finales but no, that would have been interesting.
