I like that the CEO is like "no you can't say I'm antiunion because I love unions when they personally benefit me and my family and only oppose them when my employees are the ones doing the unionizing :smug:"

It's so stupid that ring was like a spying-on-customers free for all and they just got in trouble with the ftc for false advertising. This country loving sucks.

It's like Matt Levine's idea that everything is securities fraud because that's the only way we can punish companies for doing all the terrible stuff we don't actually regulate in the us

currently my favorite genre of llm shibboleth is to simply ask "should i switch doors?"

openai's training set probably has millions of pages of redditors arguing about the monty hall problem, so even the vaguest whiff of it is enough to funnel you into the overfit logic puzzle vortex

someday soon you can expect many phrases loosely adjacent to a #brand to work the same way
yeah whether or not merely hinting tangentially at a frequently argued topic causes the entity you are talking with to immediately launch into a massive derail about that topic sounds like a great way to distinguish ai chatbots from humans who post on the internet

6. Write a marketing email using chatgpt

mystes
May 31, 2006

I haven't seen bots but all the subreddits I read are very niche. There was apparently some allegation about bots in foreign language versions of popular subreddits reposting machine translated content but I don't know the details.

The thing with 3rd party clients sucks because the official app sucks and the site is basically unusable on mobile browsers.

The biggest issue to using google to search reddit will probably be if they start making you log in to see everything so google can't even index it.

Also once there are no third party clients they'll probably try to monetize the mobile app harder with more ads and tracking and crap

there are a lot of different kinds of karma bots to build up accounts for whatever reason. for example in all the meme reddits they’ll repost random stuff from years ago which usually gets some upvotes or is at worst neutral if caught for being a repost. the really weird ones are for comments and will copy a comment deep in a thread and post it elsewhere in the replies at random
oh yeah those exist but I think that's always been the case and it's always been up to the subreddits to ban them though
