Tea Party Crasher posted:Also we probably have tp check out Keats right? Why didn't you yet? By the way Toalpaz was the person who investigated Chores on N1. She got a result of Vanilla (we knew this), which is certainly a weird result after Chores's flip. I was told when Hambeet and Taste performed no actions in the night, so I asked the mod about Sandwolf N2. Confirmed he did not even attempt to perform an action before dying.

It does seem to be the case that we haven't seen a poisoning yet. That may indicate town poisoner.

I withheld my poison N1, I targeted Josef N2 but Hal jailed me so I ended up not doing anything I figured I was going to have to claim eventually today so I didn’t do anything last night either

fool of sound posted:The feeble pre-dawn light is only beginning to dissolve the utter darkness of night in the mill when the cry of shock goes up, and is quickly strangled. The Crows leap from their impromptu beds and rush through the maze of abandoned equipment and rolls of rotting cloth to the tower, prepared for the last stand against the police that many of their number had half been expecting. Instead, they find Grizzly Luthor, radiating more menace than usual, and the buyer's man, shaking and retching in the corner. Before them, broken across the mangle of a cotton gin and with a knife wound marring his back, is the the corpse of Captain Joyce. Above, the hole in the roof that he fell from following his betrayal. Knife. fool of sound posted:The shot is quiet, muffled. Many didn't hear it at all, and those who did took some time to realize what had happened. By the time people arrive, it's far too late. Honest Frank lies dead of gunshot; even his charms had their limit. Perhaps there is a bit of his old smile on his face even in death, however, as not far away lies a second body. The frenchwoman's windpipe is crushed, and only a day later she joins her brother in death. Worse, the sketched map she carries has annotations by a much rougher hand than her own delicate script. She has collaborators. Captain Joyce should never have trusted those foreigners. Gunshot fool of sound posted:Criminals don't make for early risers. Late nights of dirty work tend to make a man lie in a bit. Hazel never adopted that aspect of the lifestyle, however, and most of the Crows can hardly remember a time that the older woman wasn't already busy by the time they stumble out of bed. Her absence this morning, therefore, is a bad omen, and the fear becomes certainty as the men kick down the door and the smell of blood wafts out. A murder involving spilt blood fool of sound posted:It had to happen eventually, but that didn't dull the shock. Old Al had been around forever, and lived through things that no man should have survived. Even in retirement, here he was, working his rear end off to get his fellow Crows out of a jam. Of course, no bastard was fool enough to come at Heavy Harvey head-on. Coward knifed him in the back when he went out for a smoke. Knife I feel like Fool has been putting a lot of effort into the setting and flavor, and if there was a poisoning it would show. Is that how this works, or no?

Tea Party Crasher posted:That's fair, but what somber said about a town poisoner with multiple chances to kill being able to solo win no matter how dumb town acts makes me hesitant I kinda really don't agree with Somber there. A solo win would require that person to have figured out who all the scum are. I just.... don't see it. I see it's giving an advantage to a town who had some way to confirm one scum (without any knowledge roles, mind you) without having to convince anyone else. I really don't think it swings the balance very much at all.

We haven't seen someone poo poo out their bowels, turn blue, or have a chestburster jump out of their torso yet. We just may not have a scum poisoner. Or if there is one, they haven't done it yet.

Potato Salad posted:I kinda really don't agree with Somber there. A solo win would require that person to have figured out who all the scum are. I just.... don't see it. But as is the nature of the game, there are less scum than there are town. While that might seem like they'd be more likely to team kill, as time goes on and we get more info they'd be able to narrow it down to a short list of suspects out of constantly narrowing candidates. Once they start making hits, scum's potential gets thoroughly hosed by one rogue actor and the game possibly ends anticlimactically at night without any deduction or deliberation.

Although I guess the delay of the kills means that there's a long tail to their actions, and they wouldn't be able to act fast enough to save town. Hmm

Assuming there are four Mafia, would that mean it would take eight nights to independently kill all of the scum? Of course it would take less if we were also able to get some with lunching Also, we are a gang, so it would make sense flavor-wise for traditionally scummy roles to be flipped and made into town roles. ( I accidentally posted this in wolo's Loo game now I am embarrassed)

I can't argue with the flavor stuff. As a mod I try to write random, flavor agnostic kills because I don't intend for that to be actionable information. That's my best guess here, I find the evidence for a scum Poisoner to be greater than the evidence against.

Johnny Keats posted:I would rather not lunch Salad. Salad, who would you want to vote? We have a solid core of soft confirmed town and are down two scum. At this point we just need to jettison the biggest question marks and we're safe. The person with bags and bags of poison exists begs a lot of questions, like, what are they doing with all that poison? Why did they bring it? Have I been poisoned? Is there an antidote? Did I waste my life? Do you think I could have stolen more, shinier things if I tried?
