I tend to split the difference and put them on cards like 10 through 8 rather than 2s or 3s. I want to be able to play my face cards with impunity and also be able to discard my lowest cards freely.

I took the second Stencil and was breezing through the early antes but I thought for sure it wouldn't scale, but I eventually got the Blueprint and with a few planets it was easy.

I wonder what you even follow this game up with. Like if they wanted they could totally just release new content packs and similar card game sequels ad infinitum and make truckloads of money and probably make most people pretty happy. But it seems like they’re more interested in the creation of new and interesting gameplay loops so hopefully their next project is equally innovative.

I sometimes go to ante 2 without any jokers, you just have to be consistent at fishing for 300+ point hands and then you can do small blind in one-shot and the others in two. Basically flush, straight, or full house with most of your cards high. You can hit one of these the majority of the time but it's definitely a pretty boring way to play through 3 rounds.
