I gotta say I feel very demoralized having like two runs in a row end on the boss blind of Ante 8. I know this is why you pick the reroll voucher but it never came up for me. I keep getting that stupid one that forces you to always pick a card when I have something like straights or flushes, on a higher difficulty so I have very few discards and hands to maneuver around it.  I know the answer is 'get good' but gently caress

Obviously wouldn't last long in Endless Mode but it was deeply satisfying.

I finally got past Ante 11, yay!!!!  I had two Barons, a Mime, DNA, Castle, and a Blueprint. Had some silly mistakes and should've worked on getting Steel Cards into my deck sooner, but was nonetheless really pleased with getting to Ante 13.

Double posting to say if anyone is hesitant on phone Balatro, go for it. I'm really shocked how well it runs, my phone is a little older and buggy by now but it's very smooth. I do find the dragging to sell/use a little awkward and I really which they'd just put in a double tap/long tap option, but aside from that it's really impressive.

I finally fulfilled all the conditions for unlocking jokers! Now I just need to find them and use them in runs! Some of them feel pretty out of the way and hard to get on accident, like discarding five Jacks or playing four sevens of clubs. I also have to get that voucher for thinning my deck to five cards... What's the best way to do something like that? Lots and lots of spectral cards?

Sorry if this has already been discussed but what's everyone's thoughts on Erosion? I kept seeing it when I already had an established deck with lots of additional cards and thinking "that seems neat, wish I could do something with it" so once it came my way at the start of the game with holographic on it, I took the plunge. Ended up a fuckin' ball and chain around my ankle for most of that deck, would've ditched it had it not been eternal. It just feels like it gives you way too little for how much it takes to get set up, the game doesn't give you a ton of tools to prune your deck that heavily unless you luck upon Trading Card (which I did get, briefly, but I had to give it up for a legendary joker) or have a rube goldberg machine of purple seals. It's a cool concept and I love playing with Trading Card, but it needs a little buff

Had some real bad luck in my play today, couldn't really get anywhere and choked once on the last boss thanks to Violet Vessel or whatever it's called with the very large blind. Did my best but could never pull up something with good Xmult to make it past that.

Whoopie Cushion - while you hold this joker every single sound effect in the game is replaced with farts of appropriate length (for example, opening a card pack goes PRRRRRBBBBBBBTTTTT and using a planet card goes pbt pbt pbt) Pride - X2 if hand includes a pair of face cards, so two kings, two queens, etc Drag Show - X4 if hand has 4 or more queens ... I just made myself want these

You know how Two Pairs are super easy to get? Full Houses aren't much harder, and they have a higher base point value than Straight or Flush while using all five cards. Just go with the highest Two Pair you drew and keep discarding and hope you got lucky. Getting some good Full Houses is a great way to cruise through earlier hands without much to work with.
