end of the 4.5 tatami age

DrBouvenstein posted:

Just started plating this last week on mobile, fun game so far. Managed to only beat a full playthrough once so far on the Red Deck, and came real close on the Blue (on the lat Boss Blind nad missed it by just a couple thousand)

Not a gameplay related question, but a game...design(?) related question that may have no answer:

What's the deal with the poker hand that each planet ranks up?

Which is to say...it's kind of random? It's not in planet order from the sun. If so, it would be:

Mercury - High Card
Venus - Pair
Earth - Two Pair
Mars - Three of a kind
Jupiter - Straight
Saturn - Flush
Neptune - Full House
Uranus - Four of a kind
Pluto - Straight flush

It seems it's ALMOST based on size, at least for a few hands:
Pluto - High Card (ok, this one fits)
Mercury - Pair (still fits)

Mars - Two Pair (falls apart already)
Venus - Three of a kind (back to working)
Earth - Straight (and we lose it again)
Neptune - Flush
Uranus - Full House
Saturn - Four of a Kind
Jupiter - Straight Flush

I'm not counting the "secret" planets, obviously, but still...it irks me in a way it shouldn't.

But besides that, great game, just too bad it's rendered nigh unplayable from the planets-to-poker-hand ranking system.

earth is full house because earth and moon, which you can see on the card. (THREE) (two)

v fun one. gold sticker grinding sounds like it would be miserable but it's probably the most fun ive had playing. i wish i could get a timeline afterwards of which jokers i went into each round with

using mnemonics can help you keep track of blinds. for instance if manacle is your first boss, you can say "i see 1 manacle". and then when you get psychic next you can say "i see 2 psychics". dunno what to do for the higher antes sorry

egg is v good, sixth sense is card removal and spectrals so it's good but you only use it like three times. matador should trigger if you play a hand that only scores <25% of the boss blind. like you're taunting the boss matador style. and if you mess up you lose matador style
