I think the most egregious example that I can think of is Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, where "Zexal" is pronounced "Zeal". Almost everyone I know irl and myself just calls it "Zecksal" because 1) it's more intuitive and 2) Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal doesn't deserve the respect
