Messages offering to auto-delete 2FA codes after 24 hours must be new with Android 14? Honestly that kind of thing is my favorite kind of new phone feature, somebody just noticing a small, easily solvable annoyance and fixing it.

Weird thing my parents do with their phones is without meaning to or understanding what happened, dragging icons onto and all around the home page, even dragging them off to new pages which confuses them even more, and that's when you get a call from the other's phone asking why "my buttons went away".

So on my Pixel 8a I've had for maybe two weeks I just got this notification about enabling "Screen Protector Mode", said to improve touch recognition when using a screen protector. Never heard of that, is that new? (I did enable it but can't tell any difference yet.)

I would like to be able to toggle DnD from the quick settings with a single click like I'm used to, but that seems like the kinda thing they might tweak in the next iteration so I'll hold off on complaining. Could be there and I just missed it? I looked at the Modes settings and looked to see if there was maybe a dedicated tile you could add to quick settings but didn't see anything.
