Unlike the seemingly out of the blue major terrorist attack that 9/11 was for most Americans, this should not have been a huge surprise to most Israelis. It should not have the same "lose their mind" effect. Its an escalation of a long running conflict it's the same in that Iron Dome had led them to believe they were invincible
