I planned to kill keats unless he found some way to convince me he was town. I wasn't really planning on using the killing part unless we were in a bad place and I had a solid target, and that seems to be where we we are at. At this point unless I wanted to kill nutsack (which I could have done the last two nights) it seems unlikely that will come into play at this point This is just a scum role lol. ##vote hal

Not really, I mostly voted cube because I didn't like his posting, the gunsmith thing is something I only recalled on and off because I was extremely distracted the first couple game days.

Sandwolf posted:Why aren’t you suspicious of Hal? Rangoon had some odd thoughts around Hal yesterday too. Something about how Hal could keep having confirmed night actions by inducting people into the masonry, thus proving he wasn't the killer. It was odd because Hal had just had a night where he didn't get anyone in the masonry, because Opop had died the night Hal visited him. I could see a Hal/Rangoon connection.

Sandwolf posted:Why aren’t you suspicious of Hal? Because I know he didn't NK N1 and his role can confirm to me (and an ever increasing number of players) that he didn't NK each night. I'm basically a permatracker on Hal. If Spork didn't jail him last night and Hal did do the NK, there would be no one new in the masonry and would know that Hal visited the NK target.

Sandwolf posted:Except there are now two nights where Hal has no confirmable action and you still feel, uncritically, he’s town? If you choose to believe both nutsack and I are scum and making the masonry thing up, ok. Seems like bad play because at some point I'd be where I am now, looking highly suspicious I hadn't recruited anyone else. If you think it's just me, you'd have to think I chose as scum to murder the person I told nutsack I was going to visit, and then the next night with both a jailer and tracker alive and me under high suspicion the scum team would then choose to send me to attempt to kill again when we'd be on the cusp of winning the next day if we got off a clean untracked kill.

Nutsack Rangoon posted:Because I know he didn't NK N1 and his role can confirm to me (and an ever increasing number of players) that he didn't NK each night. I can kind of see where you are coming from, assuming each person Hal masons gets added to the one masonry. What if instead Hal was forming multiple new masonries? Considering it's not your role, you can't know which way it would go. I think it's just that you have the full throated defense of Hal being great for town, even after the circumstantial evidence against him. Have you had no doubts at all? I always have a sliver of doubt when I'm in unconfirmed masonries. Sometimes much more than a sliver.

Also, while we're on this topic it did occur to me: If Hal is scum and he's not lying about the killing element of his role then maf would have a double kill and we lose if we don't hit today.
