I just like that “static” traditionally means the vehicle isn’t expected to leave the pad, and yet…

There was also this one spewing rocket fuel earlier this month. And another earlier in the year. They apparently don't believe in self-destruct buttons for their rockets or testing away from dense population centers. SpaceX has had some dumb missteps, but the scale of the negligence on display here is https://i.imgur.com/j51KqZw.mp4

People living downrange just occasionally have boosters fall on them.

That cloud it's trailing looks like RFNA too, which isn't something you want clouds of near you.

https://www.reuters.com/legal/us-pushes-boeing-plead-guilty-connection-with-fatal-crashes-sources-say-2024-06-30/quote:June 30 (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department will criminally charge Boeing (BA.N), opens new tab with fraud over two fatal crashes and ask the planemaker to plead guilty or face a trial, two people familiar with the matter said on Sunday. So what happens if Boeing dares them to do it? Boeing aircraft cannot be maintained without Boeing which is slightly problematic. Really it should go into some sort of government receivership but that won't happen so my concern is that Boeing will actually end up unprosecutable because congress and the rest of the executive branch cannot allow it to happen.

Yep. Any company that is Too Big To Fail, is a national security risk, and should be split up or nationalized.

Which houses an Aircraft Carrier. It is the largest building by volume on Earth.

that got me to try and google to see it, which led me to a reddit question "why are there 3 planes poorly photoshopped onto the parking lot" a reply: "they're not photoshopped, those planes really are there and that big" that place is pretty huge
