I count two more now not including Hal's or mine below; weapons and the mantle (might be different than the interior of the fireplace).

Yeah, that pot should be grabbed at some point, but we gotta check stuff in the mirror to see if anything's different.

Yep, we sure do, but we're gonna have to find the matches somewhere else. For now ##look at desk in mirror because we may need to leave the quill in the inkpot OR take the pot away.

I have a feeling we either need to look elsewhere for paper or we're going to have to use up all of the paper we have.

Yeah, the bookshelf looked the same both in the mirror and directly already, we might actually game over if we burn a book here instead of go looking elsewhere.

We're either missing that key or we're missing something else in here that isn't matching up with its reflection.

I'm expecting there to be a golden key somewhere to find because that's how everything else has worked here so far. Hopefully it's on the adventurer because I'm running out of ideas to check.

I like the idea of visually contrasting these things and it was simple enough to put together so here are the two ideas I agree make sense:

Might be the second one we should try first, though it also makes sense for the blank space to come before the sunrise as with the first option.

But that's just a precaution - I think given where we're at now and how few items we've ever had to carry from one spot to another, not being able to move the sconce or crystal probably means we can move forward and not get eaten by a Grue at least immediately.

Not sure exactly how we would get back but we're in a new area - this is the East Wing Hallway NORTH as opposed to the East Wing Hallway we were in before we ventured into the Grueful darkness. Seems like we should see what's beyond this door at this point.

It's 100% non-Euclidean adventure game maze logic. I'm not gonna worry about it until we have to figure out how to go back.

TBPH I think it's legit going to be as simple as "step into the darkness, step back out of the darkness" in order to get back as well. If we'd only gone north once, I bet we'd have gotten here by going south once.
