  This is a mafia game for 23 players, based loosely (very loosely) on Chicago, the movie, and real-life people who lived in Chicago in the 1920s, and maybe even some time travelers. It is role-heavy, but not role madness. Needs 23 players because, it being set in 1920s Chicago, there are a LOT of guns. CHICAGO MAFIA General Rules: (1) Minimum posting requirement: Please try for 10 posts per game day. Players who do not make 10 posts will be nudged. Failure to make even one post per game day will result in modkill/replacement unless you have a very good reason, like, you’re in rehab. If there’s a good reason why you can’t post and you convey this, there may be some mercy (2) The powers in this game have both Night actions and Day actions. You can post night actions in your discord. Night actions will resolve at the end of the night. Day actions will look like this: ##Smite Playername. Day actions will resolve immediately, or as soon as I can get to them. Very important: DO NOT FAKE DAY ACTIONS. This will earn you a mod vote at the soonest applicable time. There are no Day actions that will end the Day. (3) Starting on Day 2, the unspoiled dead will have a vote! Because it’s Chicago! In the ‘20s (of course this would never happen in real life). However, it’s only one vote for all the dead players. For purposes of this mechanic, all dead players, until they request otherwise, will move into a chat where they can discuss things, if they wish. The vote can be by chatroom consensus or players may submit the name of who they want to vote for in their confessionals, and the player who has the most votes will receive ONE vote, probably anonymously but in reality attributed to the Restless Chicago Spirits.  UPDATE For the remainder of the game, Day 5 onward, the vote from the dead will be posted 12 hours before the official end of day and will be added to the official vote count at that time. Everythingn else about this OP stays the same. Just to be redundantly clear, all the cumulative dead will only ever get one vote, for all of them. However, see the bit about vote ties below. (4) Voting is PLURALITY, and the player with the most votes at the end of the day will be croaked. HOWEVER, a majority vote can end the day AFTER the Restless Chicago Spirits’ vote has been placed. You may vote for no elimination. Ties will be resolved by executing the player voted by the dead. If no tied player has been voted on by the dead, the tie will be resolved by coin flip, that is to say, randomly. (5) Do not directly quote private communication from the mod. You may paraphrase. Just don’t quote me. (6) Color is just color and is not meant to imply roles or alignments. You do not have to be familiar with the source material, which is not being strictly adhered to. Management takes no responsibility for any mishaps that may occur as a result of your inferences. (7) You may vote No Elimination. Ties will be resolved by executing the player voted by the dead. If no tied player has been voted on by the dead, the tie will be resolved by coin flip, that is to say, randomly. (8) Private chats will take place on Discord. If you have not joined the discord, please do so immediately. If your discord name is really different from your SA name, please send me a DM saying who you are, so you don’t get the wrong role. Players may communicate only in the game thread unless they have a private chat.
