Also, reread on Molly, odd choice. Did you think Schwinn lied about her alignment while they were in a confirmed masonry, or...?

Why didn't you even look at who I voted before making things up about my play, who knows~

Molly and shwinn being confirmed wasn't in the flip, and I didn't remember what order their claims played out. The way they played the watch with Sandwolf was v town.

You're right, I forgot why I was so sure it couldn't be Molly. It's because Schwinn's power had the downside of making his mason partner look guilty. Feels pretty unlikely that that would be in play if she just. WAS guilty. That also lives in the realm of mod bastardry, or at least adjacent to it.

Yeah I had a moment where I looked at shwinns flip and realized it didn't say confirmed, but at one point I did say something to Molly asking if they were confirmed masons and shwinn showed up and was like YEP, plus the "makes them a miller" thing means if that turns out wrong it is all shwinns fault and not ours

even though obviously im biased in favor of my being town i don't think that it's wrong to reread me. it's true that shwinn's flip doesn't 100% mechanically confirm me as town, though it's implied heavily -- but also i sometimes reread people I see as confirmed town for the same reason I reread people who are flipped scum, you can gain new insight about peoples interaction with living unknown alignment players when you reread them.

That's probably fair. My pov is kinda unique at this juncture as I'm the only non-scum with 0 reason to doubt who scum is. Hal and Molly have reasonable reasons to be unsure between me and Yuming, and Yuming is scum, so. I don't need new reads. Nor do I need to make it possible that it's actually been Hal this whole time

A lady of nobility, gentility, and rage
Velma Kelly, the last of the Merry Murderesses, has been caught!
Town win!

Player: yuming
Character: Velma Kelly
Alignment: Merry murderess (Mafia)
Win condition: You win when Merry Murderesses make up >51% of the living players
Abilities: Godfather (passive), night kill
Phase: Night

Vaudeville is not dead—but a couple of people close to you are, and you don’t remember anything! And what was that blood on your hands anyway? As you cannot remember anything about committing any murder, any investigation of you will show you as innocent, in other words town-aligned. Each Night you may choose one person from your group of Merry Murderesses who will kill the player of your choice (who will have it coming!). The person performing the kill will be able to perform only that action that Night. When investigated, you will appear innocent. However, you can be tracked, or your victim can be watched.

Your fake PM is below:

Character: Bella Gaetano
Alignment: Town
Win condition: When all anti-Town forces are eliminated

Note: As a fake claim, this wasn't really all that safe! The person pictured here is Belva Gaetner, who was the model for Velma Kelly. If this picture had appeared--and it would have, had she been name-checked by the intrepid private dick played by Egalz--it conceivably could have been image-checked and led to her downfall. But said downfall happened anyway.

Egalz gets an extra win because Silver Dollar Hal is still alive, and it's the end of the game.

Congratulations to town, and gg by all.

A lady of nobility, gentility, and rage

Player: mollyohreally
Character: Katalin Helinszki,
Alignment: Town
Win condition: When all anti-Town forces are eliminated
Ability: Use of your democratic vote to signify who you wish to dispose of each day
Extra Ability: Mason/JOAT, conditional (1x vigilante, 1x doctor, 1x watcher, 1x tracker)
Phase: Night

Being innocent, you have no idea what you are doing on Murderess Row with all these violent slatterns. But you have a secret ally who holds the KEY to some extra abilities for you, if she unlocks them. These abilities are: 1x Vigilant (night vig kill), 1x Doctor (protect any player other than yourself from one bullet), 1x watcher (choose one player to learn if anyone else targeted them), 1x tracker (choose one player and learn who they target). You may use one ability per night, in any order, if * and only if * your mason partner has UNLOCKED your abilities. If you have been unlocked, you will appear guilty if you are investigated that night. Unless you and your secret partner have found each other, you will not know if your abilities will work. However, if you are not unlocked, your abilities are not expended.
Your secret mason partner who has the key to unlock these abilities may leave a breadcrumb or two, or you may. You may PM me (day or night, but only once per phase) if you think you can identify your partner, and if you are correct, you will unlock a secret chat room where you two can speak in private. You will also be confirmed to each other as Town.

Player: Spacebanito
Character: William J. Leathers
Alignment: Town
Win condition: When all anti-Town forces are eliminated
Ability: Use of your democratic vote to signify who you wish to dispose of each day.
Extra Ability: None

As the headwaiter of the Gingham Inn you’re anxious about your upcoming testimony. Of course you’re going to say you wish you were always as sober as the couple in question were that night, and maybe even add that nobody ever gets drunk at the Gingham Inn as all you serve, all night long, is ginger ale. But you’re a little nervous, given the personalities involved, that one side or the other might come to you and offer some kind of a bribe to change your testimony, or else have you whacked if you don’t change your testimony. And you know which one you’d prefer. That’s not even a moral dilemma.

Player: Hal Incandenza
Character: Rose Mary Echo Silver Dollar Tabor, a/k/a Ruth Norman
Alignment: Town
Win condition: When all anti-Town forces are eliminated
Ability: Use of your democratic vote to signify who you wish to dispose of each day
[b]Extra Ability: None

You were born with not just a silver spoon in your mouth but the whole silver set, and then your family became the biggest riches-to-rags story of the century. So now you’re living it up while trying to live that down, cigarette girl in a speakeasy under an assumed name, working on your novel in your spare time, and hoping it’s such a hit that it brings you back to the social status you deserve. You have to get there somehow.

Ah I’ll take the L even though I wanted the W. I think if I had more time to devote to the game it’d’ve been a different story but I honestly fell behind and I could never catch up again. I was hoping the Keane bus would save me but maybe if I’d written a case earlier on even though it was just repeating b-

I think I use the same amount of smilies regardless :sun:

What I have a harder time faking is the sassiness I get when I think I’m right as town. It’s also uncomfortable to go too far doing that when you’re scum, at least for me. Hal gets to keep his Yuming whisperer title, though I’d appreciate any tips on how I could’ve taken home the win Hal~

I killed Sandwolf to make sure he was out of the game. He absconded anyways though.

I was never going to kill molly. If I had killed Hal I believe the ghosts would’ve been the tie breaker anyways.

RWC said I would’ve automatically won if it was 1v1 so this was indeed MYLO.

Huh. What an odd way to rule that. Seems like it goes against wincon, but shrug I guess.

And I guess killing sand does make more sense than targeting Maer, even if it ends the same way.

Well the thing is that I don't even know where I got the "51% of players" bit because what I meant was when scum are equal to or greater than all other factions, or this cannot be prevented. This is what happens when somebody is bad at math--that wincon was kinda impossible, and not the usual one.

Sand had won a BP though for predicting Keane would be voted out, so he only absconded and did not die.

I have to tell you that in an early iteration of this, Mrs. O'Leary's cow was in fact a character. I couldn't really have an arsonist, though, but it would have been pretty funny.

I replaced the cow with the time-traveler Elwood Blues.
