As in, you currently own 3 homes, or you have moved twice and only own your current home?

Just go buy a house in 2015 at 2.3% interest OP, easy peasy.

Most I have ever owned at one time is two, I had my condo and a rental property, sold the rental property, moved into my current home that my husband owned before me, then about two years after we were married I sold my condo and now own this house with my husband.

Nice. We got super lucky and found a place that was economical, we probably aren't going anywhere any time soon.

Yes op I got my home in 2016. We're outgrowing it and I don't expect we'll be able to afford a house with more space and things we need for years, even with a poo poo load of equity in this place. The mortgage would probably be doubled even with a huge down payment

Seems to me your priority is posting about how you're playing a game as opposed to you know playing the game. Like when I have a game I like I'm not here going "WELL ACTUALLY IT'S SUPER COOL THAT X DID Y (I'm fuzzy on the details of Wukong but as I recall you were here defending Hogwarts and supporting JK Rowling so fuck off garbage). Now you might go "Oh no I wasn't supporting JK Rowling I was just buying a video game that happened to give JK Rowling money and that's different because..."

edit: Don't feel rushed to respond I'm sure you're very busy playing Wukong or whatever.
Maybe. I'm lazy though. So maybe like parts of homes if my parents die and still own them? *shrugs*

I'm 44, on my 3rd home. The first home was a duplex I bought when I was 25, instantly making me a landlord. Great idea on paper, harder to execute especially when you are a people pleaser. Do not recommend.

Tried this and it worked, thanks. Also reconsider refinancing during covid so your mortgage payment is locked in at less than renting a one-bedroom.

I've been thinking of building another home that I can look at from mine. Then I'd grow resentful of it, staring at it from my porch thinking of the pomp and finery they have over there.

HERE ARE THE FUCKING TOWELS
I only own a home because I was lucky enough to have a little money at the very bottom of the housing market in 2011. It’s a small house(1100sq. ft), an old house(1940) and in a ‘meh’ neighborhood in a town that people look down because the poors live there.

But it’s a solidly built bungalow with a 2-car detached garage and a peaceful yard and it’s mine. I feel vaguely guilty at times because the younger people aren’t going to have the opportunity that I did. I paid less for it than a fancy pickup truck costs these days.

Even if the housing market crashed, landlords would just buy these houses and charge exorbitant rent, it wouldn’t help young homebuyers.

Damn you, harlot! Science and I know what we're doing!
Owning a home is fun because you can say things like “today I will finally fix the railing on the back porch” and then the water heater leaks water all over the floor and you put off fixing the railing for another week.

On the other hand, after enough time you get around to doing enough projects that doing things like putting new wash lighting in.

We still need to install a bunch more plants and modify the overall design, this is more kind of a rough in, but we are slowly moving towards having the backyard like we want it.
