 For the past couple weeks, the 8-10,000 extra users browsing without being logged in have disappeared. Now we're running a much closer delta between lurkers and logged-in users. Where do you think they went? Were they just AI scraping bots that finally got blocked by our intrepid tech team? Content-starved comedy fans who fecklessly moved on when Deadpool & Wolverine delivered something more their speed? People waiting breathlessly for pencilhands to post hog, but finally gave up?

I hope thw lurkers come back. most of them are AI crawlers and I would prefer they learnt the internet from something awful rather than other websites that are all interchangable like reddit or twitter or even stormfront.
