Ain't no one telling me I can't talk about Stargate just cause the OP is probed. I don't think the Ori get enough credit for actually being what the Goa'uld were playing at. edit: 1glitch0 fucked around with this message at 00:49 on Sep 8, 2024 |

Hello Stargate thread that hopefully won't be rage-closed by the OP. Who's y'alls favorite SGC commander and why is it General Hammond?

I am torn on the Goa'uld in this show: on one hand the guy playing Apophis knocked it out of the park every time he was in the show; on the other hand I think I would enjoy a digital remaster where Cliff Simon played every Goa'uld.

Not every time anomaly is caused by SG-1, sheesh Yeah that type of poo poo should have happened every once in awhile. Everyone wakes up one day and they're half their normal size, and they find out it's because SG-16 touched an ancient device and they're trying to figure out how to turn it off. I just see a scene with Jack, Teal'c and Sam in the commissary and everyone around them is panicking while SG1 just eats their breakfast and Jack just says "SG-4 brought back an ancient virus that makes everyone swing-dance uncontrollably... I'm sure they'll figure it out"

The episodes with Dr Lee later in the series imply that there's tons of weird poo poo the SGC deals with that goes on behind the scenes but since it wasn't world threatening we didn't see it. Speaking of Dr Bill Lee he gets a lot of poo poo for the crime of not being the smartest person on the planet like Carter and McKay. It must suck to be good at your job but also have to work at the same place as a protagonist.

This whole deal (both parts, really) was the focus of a pretty good season 8 episode, "Zero Hour". Jack just became the boss of the whole base and realizes that zany shenanigans happen all the time when he's not around, except now it's his job to always be around, and in the background Dr. Lee is doing his best to solve a Carter problem while Carter is stuck offworld.
