Spooky season is nearly upon us.

What are you going to go as for Halloween? Are you going to go to a party? Dress up?

What are the top costume ideas this year?

I'm thinking about throwing a spooky party this year myself. We don't have a big place but I think dressing up like skeletons and dancing in my living room will be a good time.

Unfortunately there is a subset of miserable Queenslanders who think that celebrating Halloween is "Un-Australian". Which is fine, but also gently caress them I'm covering my balcony in skeletons and giving out full size candy bars to any kids who dare walk down my spooky street.

Where did you source your pumpkin spice? I've heard some retailers sell it at an increased markup?

A lot of people forget that Halloween is when the veil between the living and the dead is at its most porous. That's why all my costumes include a gun, in case I get chased by spooks OR specters. Dinosaur with a gun, Babadook with a gun, whatever it is, you know I always keep that thang on me.

I'm in Australia so any buffer between Xmas is a good thing.
Easter is the same, as soon as it hits the new year the supermarkets are putting hot cross buns up for sale.

Last time I was in the US we went into a Halloween USA in PA and I stomped on a floor trigger thing and a 12 foot tall extendable skeleton horror clown popped out of a box like AAAAHHHHHAHAHAHAHHAHA!

It was right as a kid maybe age six came around the corner and they jumped out of their loving shoes. Sorry about the therapy bills, kiddo.

I decided to make some pumpkin cream cheese muffins for the season. The cheapest pumpkin spice option I could find was McCormick’s 1.12oz for 4.97. I decided to buy cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and ginger in the bulk section and make my own out of spite.
