its autumn so I copped a never-worn pair of chunky adidas off a guy on marketplace to wear with the baggier fits that come with the season. they were $60 cad and theyre (deeply fond voice) lowkey gay

Finding unused clothing ftw. A few months back I scored a nice adidas rain jacket for $15, still had the price tag on it and it was something like $80 retail.

it really does own. I love crate digging, bargain hunting, and haggling (as both buyer and seller) so when I want a seasonal refresh I first check the only drat reason to use facebook these days

my hold for the final volume of dead dead demons dededede destruction came in from the library and imo asano stuck the landing hard. loved the pov character switching to kadode's dad, the kengo hanazawa cameo, dededede being onomatopoeia for fujin bullets, the two iwestern nerds refusing to let each other die before they read the last volume of mitsubato (a yotsuba parody ofc), the prototype fujin being a full-blown mecha, even the chapter 100 splash having that big epilogue feel. punpun is still the work of his I like the best but dededede is now a close second

trying to think of a good anime op or ed to blast the reference getters in attendance with next time at karaoke. previous songs that have killed include haruka kanata, freckles, and cha-la head-cha-la. I think it has to date from late 80s to early 2000s to hit. thinking whats up people by maximum the hormone... but also want a gentler option

those are the two I would put forth, mostly because I watched both recently and dont watch a lot of anime otherwise, but the dandadan op is perfect for the show

chuckling at the idea of going to that to see something for the first time and audience member mansplain m letterboxd keeps hitting pause to push fringe interpretations and crackpot theories, or even just to call out how seminal some shots, techniques,
and themes are such as perfect blue being a progenitor for oshi no ko and paprika being homaged wholesale by chris nolan for inception. but you have never seen anything being referenced and only the instructor has visual aids

its my birthday as of forty minutes ago. and my suruga-ya package came

my friend got me a ramen sticker that I immediately put on my bike

it came with cakes

and another sticker I haven't put on anything yet

I also got this mug and tea sampler that sounds like it has some heat in it

my partner got me this sick waterproof waist pack to replace my old one which was hella sunbleached and I got this phantasy star work shirt for myself from suruga-ya

da back

and this sick sweater...

and the back

finally this hanshin tigers jersey which is for kind of a scrub player (shun nakayama, #9) but it was like $30 so big steal

in the morning I am going to a banya for the first time. thank you for being fun posting pals itt.

panko

the banya was loving sick. it is around the side of a generic strip mall plaza on the mississauga/toronto border. I was there (and in the attached tea room) for six hours

I didnt take pictures of the bath setup for obvious reasons but it was invigorating. start with a shower then do repeated cycles of dry sauna / wet sauna / cold plunge/ chill until sufficiently relaxed then go to the tea room and drink as much good tea as you want and have a conversation/play backgammon/whatever. there is also a restaurant serving tasty eastern european food

got a commemorative sticker as well

good rear end birthday imo.
