I like these student body plots, Frond is just the perfect villain.

While I enjoyed the episode it did kind of feel like they made it out of subplots that they didn't have space for in other episodes since both the kids and Linda bits weren't really "drive in" specific.

Yeah that episode was kind of a mess. Linda's texting thing and the kids uh, candy conflict, were not interesting at all, while Bob's flashbacks and sudden attempts to save the drive in actually were. It could have been a top 10 episode if it had stuck to just Bob.

I did want to see a lot more of young Bob and maybe find out what ever happened to Ramona. I thought the kids plot was fine, and should stay over the Linda plot.

I guess I'm not really feeling the kid plots this season but I thought the Bob and Linda plots were a lot of fun. Especially all the stuff with the cop.

The kid plot (like last week’s) felt not only incredibly disconnected from anything else going on, but also had me exasperated waiting for the story to switch back to Bob or Linda.

I’m shocked that Bob didn’t come up with some bullshit excuse about the shampoo and just told them what happened. The kid plot also felt like they realized there was three minutes left and they had to wrap it up.

Yet another episode in which Louise realizes in the last thirty seconds that she's being selfish and needs to chill.

I think maybe three plots are too many.

Yeah if they're not intertwining in any meaningful way. Though Seinfeld used to regularly juggle four unrelated plots. But for Bob's Burgers, one or two fleshed out plots is best.

Tina makes a great assassin. Non-descriptive, quiet, looks unassuming, can be laser focused when she wants to be, ready to incur vengeance on those who have wronged her. Too bad this show is stuck in limbo, I want to see Gene and then Louise have to do this in 8th grade. The family has a title to defend.

I theorize that Andy and Ollie Pesto and Walter and Perry from Home Movies are based off of the same two kids from Loren Bouchard's childhood. I love that after fifteen seasons I still don't know which is which. I was glad Marshmallow was able to blackmail the fire marshall with something funny rather than have him be one of her clients and going the trans panic route. Her whole bit was great.

Even when Marshmallow and the trans prostitutes made their first appearance, the comeupance for Jimmy Pesto was that has into trans women, but that he was a diaper daddy. Even 12 years ago they were making that an active choice to avoid. I just liked seeing everyone getting to do their song and such. It was a nice slice of life punctuated by Marshmallow's performance.

I'm actually really enjoying this season. Doll house was one of the better tell a story episodes and it felt like Mic Night was especially well-serviced to show off the new VAs a bit more.

It's starting to feel like this show would be better off cutting down to 12 episode seasons. Episodes like the open mic one are great but there is a lot of filler anymore.
