I thought this episode was a lot of fun. I think the thing that makes split subplots work is the right pairing like Bob and Louise.

Yeah this is the kind of episode that theoretically is “filler” but I had a lot of fun with it. I’m really starting to think this is the most consistent show of all time

I loved Louise giving voices to the boogie boards the same way Bob does with food. That was a nice touch.

I've thought this since season 10. It's staggering how consistent this show is.

It might be the most consistent show of all time for how long it's gone on and how little its changed over the years. I will say the first five or so seasons were funnier though because they still had some edge to them, but it's nice that the show found its niche as the consistent, positive, comfort food show.

That said, I'm finding myself not caring if I watch new episodes or not and I wouldn't mind if they threw in some genuine surprises. They've had a handful of mildly experimental episodes over the last few seasons and I'd be totally fine with seeing more of that.

You're entering a realm which is unusual. Maybe it's magic, or contains some kind of monster... The second one. Prepare to enter The Scary Door.

I thought that was pretty good as far as "kids take turns telling a story" episodes go. I'm glad they kept the focus on the sisters instead of trying to shoehorn in a Gene bit. He worked well making fart noises from the sidelines.

One of many reasons I never want kids: it’s a total crap shoot if you end up with a Tina (yay!) or a Louise (rip).

But what happened to Thanksgiving? That was Bob’s Burgers thing!

Yeah that was a good one! Animal-related storylines usually work for me.

The holidays they cover on Bob's Burgers seem to vary from year to year. Thanksgiving is probably the big one but there are a lot of Christmas episodes too.

In related news, I made my family onion jam this year and labelled it "Onion, all ye Jamful." It's a bit of a stretch but I couldn't come up with anything better.
