THE ONLY EXERCISE I AM UNFAMILIAR WITH IS EXERCISING MY ABILITY TO MAKE A POST PEOPLE WANT TO READ
I rarely write anything I intend to keep and look at again, although sometimes -- when I'm reading a journal paper or a textbook I really want to understand, I will write careful notes and store them alongside the text. But I'm writing on scratch paper all the time to organize my thoughts for whatever I'm working on currently, or to make my daily to-do list etc. But I've talked for whom writing is basically not a part of their adult life

Also the dozen-or-so work related ones are ones I maintain regularly. Actual number is probably like a hundred but a lot are stale

I write every day, both at work and at home. I usually take work notes on a computer, but sometimes you need to sketch out a diagram or something and it's infinitely easier for me to do that on paper.

I'm also trying to learn Japanese, which involves writing a lot of kanji. My friend got me this kickin' rad 0.2mm pencil that's perfect for kanji and I absolutely love writing with it

It's okay if you have any questions.

It varies considerably. My job is a mix of writing documents or slides and managing projects that will produce documents or slides that someone else writes, and how that mix breaks down at any given time has a pretty strong influence on how much writing I do on a given day. I also have a research agenda that leads me to produce quite a bit when I'm focused on it, but obviously there are down times there too.

Recently I've been more focused on managing projects at work and too busy with life in general to do much on my own, so I'm not doing much writing at all. I'm hoping that latter part gets better next year, but I think my job mostly consists of not doing my own things now, so I need to figure out how to be better at being engaged with projects that I'm less directly involved in. There's more to that than just managing to write productively, but that is an important part of it.
