OK, follow me on this. If Columbus wins their last two games and Montreal lose their last game in regulation, they are tied on 89 points. First tiebreaker is regulation wins, and Montreal currently leads Columbus by a mark of 29 wins to 28. Should Columbus win in regulation only once and have the other game go to overtime, we would go to the second tiebreaker, regulation + overtime wins. Montreal leads that as well, but by 37 to 32. For Columbus to make the playoffs, they HAVE to win both their remaining games in regulation. This means the wackiest way a game can end might happen should the Blue Jackets be tied late.

I'm in Minnesota for today's game and am going to meet up with an old friend and take him to his first hockey game  "Why don't you take him to see a good team?" my first game was seeing the Kraken shut out the Pens. he must suffer as I have.Also since I've started watching hockey I've had a few people ask me why I picked the Wild as my favorite team and I literally cannot remember. Cool logo? Kirill Kaprizov? The Curse? who knows, GO WILD

oh my god that surpassed all expectations I had of everything. I thought for sure they were going to eat poo poo and miss the playoffs by one point but they made it!! yes I know they'll lose in the first round!!! shut up and let me have this! Also I don't know how that game looked on the tv but it was amazing in person, especially the overtime period. My friend who was there for his first hockey game is now a fan.
