I was pacing around the supermarket feeling malnutrition, but it was hard to imagine what my body actually needed, until I saw ice cream. Earlier, some yogurt had been enough, but surely there were extra vitamins in ice cream. Ice cream is rarely consumed on my part, so finding a way to have just a small amount felt right.

Found the perfect one:

Friendly's needs to come up with a known name for these things that stick like "Klondike". They just own, with several key advantages:
  1. Ice cream isn't something that necessarily always needs to be at hand in massive amounts. This can be stored away in your freezer without taking up much space.
  2. You can have some, put the lid back on, and store it away for later.
  3. It's also cake. It's often preferable to have cake with ice cream anyway.

I cannot only vouch for these things now, but Friendly's has also saved my rear end in the past. When I had chronic heart burn, vanilla ice cream was a common remedy if things got bad. Though I did not find that some ice creams worked well, Friendly's vanilla worked excellently, extinguishing the flame. I've since been cured with antibiotics. (Helicobacter pylori)

With nostalgic appeal, unique flavors, rich creamy texture and quality ingredients, you can't beat Friendly's. It has all the key ingredients and nutrients your body needs to feel good.

Going to Friendly's restaurants was somewhat magical, but their butter covered sandwiches always made me sick. I just stick to their ice cream..

This isn't real this is something you ask for at Denny's when you're crossfaded as gently caress and the server just wants to shove a fork in your eye but they can't so instead they suggest the moons-over-my-hammy

It doesn't seem like the restaurant part of their business is doing well.

Also, I like ice cream as a medical solution.

Lol, like Papa Gino's, they were one of those places that were always "there", that I never go to, but assume are filled with families.

They closed the last Friendly's on Route 1 in Saugus a few years back, it's like a weird Wendy's now I think.

I know what you did last summer, and frankly I am displeased.

Probably happened because someone kept blowing their loads into the ice cream on a daily basis.

There are still a bunch of them around Massachusetts. I've seen them but it's probably been at least a decade since I've been in one. The Reese's sundae cups you get at the grocery store are really good though.

My great grandma loved Friendly's we used to go every week to have lunch with her when I was little. The icecram that looked like a clown and has an icecreamcone for a hat is what I always got. No idea what food food I had.

Not Thin and Useful

30 years ago I liked getting the ice cream guy that looked like a clown with a waffle cone on his head with reeses pieces eyes and nose and then it went out of business probably because I was eating all the smuckers jam packets at the table so I just went to Chuck E. Cheese with my grandma instead but that also went out of business and also my grandma is dead too so now I'm just a sad adult.

But hey they had a cool looking watermelon ice cream roll that no one would ever buy.

It's American style food and ice cream. I think the original location was in Massachusetts, so it's a northeastern thing.

They closed the Friendly's nearest to me :smith:

Never heard of it but that cup looks very pleasant to eat. I haven't had an ice cream cake in a cup before.

I'm lactose intolerant so whenever I buy ice cream it must be in small quantities and worth the suffering, so I buy Talenti gelato or Jeni's and then try not to eat it all in one sitting.

Friendly’s used to be pretty great as a restaurant. In high school and college my friends and I would go there for breakfast when they had the 2 egg, 2 toast, 2 sausage/bacon deal for $2.22. Sadly, 🅱️ killed that off with woke.
