Error: Right Turn Signal Out Hey, what the hell???  What's that thing in there?  Okay...     Is this a bullet? The only other thing I can think of is that it's a rivet or something. I did have it in a repair shop (unrelated reasons) the day before.

Yep, that's a bullet. The fact that it only went through the plastic cover of your light before stopping probably means it was fired from really far away, or was a falling round like a previous poster said. Measure the diameter of the base so we can know what caliber.

Total metal jacket (TMJ) handgun bullets will usually have a flat bottom and be completely covered in copper.

I’m with you on wondering why it stopped where it did but the bullet wouldn’t have deformed like that unless it hit something somewhat hard while moving very fast. Plus the angle problem. I think it went through something else then hit the light, maybe another car.
