It got color pages and I think even the cover last week. I also don't know how much of an indicator MangaPlus numbers can be, but it's been pretty consistently in the top 5 for weekly Jump stuff. I think it's okay.

Every single majik that has been fought has shown itself capable of massive amounts of death and destruction. Only real difference is this one makes a cage beforehand and is better able to hide due to looking human.

Basically, there's no indicator saying it's facing the axe and a lot of indicators saying it's successful (getting Jump covers, getting color pages, regularly getting high placing in Jump's contents page). If it were in danger of the axe due to underperforming, it would have become apparent around now, and it's not happening.

Nah, this rate of escalation is just right. He's been clowning the basic bitch magiks, so now on his third proper hunt we get to see what the bigger picture is and the overarching threat of the manga going forward will be.

The only thing I don't like about this manga is that the mangaplus site doesn't stitch together two-page spreads and I swear like half the pages in any issue are part of a two-page spread or otherwise overlapping panel work. But it's nice to see somebody go so heavy into spread work to frame the story.

Everyone's favorite uber-talented badass! Though this is interesting - even an Uroro-amped human-hater majik didn't do a whole lot to Ichi's new boyfriend. I suppose after this all dies down we'll learn one way or the other how majiks might get stronger, given this was aiming for some kind of school arc.
