At first I thought I would rather take on the man-sized Godzilla but the fact the Gamera breath is only fire makes it seem slightly less threatening. But ultimately I think there are better odds against one man-sized Godzilla.

what defines an animal tho? A non-human, sentience? Godzilla seems sentient enough and Gamera shares sentience with a human so it blurs the lines imo

In theory, Godzillas remarkable resilience and nuclear breath power would be unaffected by its size, and a smaller one would be easier to push over in a fight so I think it would be preferable

What it comes down to for me is that the 20 gameras fight would be a fight to the death, but Godzilla has honor and a respect for strength and friendship, so despite his superior power, the battle would ultimately be less bloody and possibly end productively
