A shame Wizards and Warriors only got 8 episodes. This is very fun with the perfect tone for a goofy fantasy show. Really feels like playing D&D with your pals in the 80s. Corny as hell, but some really good gags and jokes in there and solid writing, even if it has no budget.

This is horrible, but my wife and I looked at pictures of the two sons and, based on purely superficial nonsense, picked one (Nick).

Then she read around it turns out that Nick has had severe drug problems since his teens, been in and out of rehab, and was living homeless for a stretch. gently caress.

I went and saw a stage performance of Frozen today and I had to do a double-take when I saw Dana Snyder, Master Shake himself, in the playbill as the person playing Olaf. I had no idea that the guy was a stage actor, let alone having credits like Tevye from Fiddler on the Roof and Oscar in The Odd Couple. Hearing that voice coming out of a real person on stage was so strange!

The show is much more decent than I expected. I completely missed it when it aired but a video I watched somewhere mentioned it so I tracked it down out of curiosity. It's not a masterpiece of reality TV and much of the run time is an advertisement for the products they are working with in the moment much of the time. What I do find interesting is that BIlly and Andrew are allowed to drop their pitchmen personas from the television commercials that made them famous and showing them as like... normal dudes with specific skills for a specific job. Billy not wanting to have his hand crushed even if he did have faith in the product is something I'm not sure I would expect in something released these days with the even more managed images we see from public figures these days. I dunno, maybe I'm overthinking a show about people trying to sell products that people generally don't need but I really didn't expect to find humanity within such a show.
