I'm Hispanic, and therefore my dad is as well, and the stories I hear from him of Hispanic green card holders or illegals supporting Trump just blow my mind. He asks them why they think they say they do, and it's the typical "The Tiger won't maul my face" excuse. It makes no loving sense. Have y'all heard of the Bracero Program that started in WW2? It was designed, due to the war, to fill agriculture staffing gaps with Mexican nationals, and it worked so well that it kept going until the 60's or such. And it offered a route to a green card. My grandpa came over to the US via that program, I dunno why we got rid of it, it seemed pretty effective and was a win/win situation. Seems all this illegal immigration scare started once it went away.

That transgender ban EO also has wording about service members on mental health meds no longer being considered being fit for service, which is like half of us SNCOs, including me. Goddamn I'm glad I'm getting off this out-of-control ride in 6 months. It sucks for my coworkers in the same bucket who aren't at the retirement point, I really feel bad for them and emphasize with them. 20+ years of getting rid of the mental health stigma, only to be overturned by some disgusting fat gently caress who has never worn the uniform.

Some of my coworkers that are on happy meds like me are freaking the gently caress out. Hell, I am too but I know the med board system will get very clogged with this EO. Like, what the gently caress are you supposed to do if you have PTSD?
