I'm pretty sure that given who was in the driver's seat when the tesla exploded that the vegas incident was due to stupidity and not intentional. He was definitely just a moron that was going to go make some big fires in the desert.

Did it start as a cybertruk fire or a fire that happened to be in a cybertruk?

So it was a fire in a cybertruk not a cybertruk fire. This seems more dramatic suicide (probably due to untreated PTSD from repeat TBI). It sucks but doesn’t seem like it’s the same thing as NOLA.

stymie was such a pain that there was a no quoting stymie rule. If you quoted stymie, you got probated. Don’t quote stymie. Stymie was a tedious dickhead who hated computer touchers and claimed to be a blue collar laborer. The rule was in place because many people had stymie on their ignore list. He’s still one of the most ignored users.

Johnny290 called them out one day fingering them for being a VC of some sort. Stymie got very mad and compared everyone laughing at him to people slut shaming a rape victim which caught him a ban. He has not returned.

California will just do what Florida did and set up a state run insurer of last resort that cannot go bankrupt in crisis because they can just ask the feds for money.

So Russia gets everything they’ve asked for from the beginning. I’m shocked.

No?

Good start, bigly strongly negotiation deal man.

He’s ending it by demanding Russia get everything they’ve asked for.

It's a 14-day TRO, but if you get a Reagan Judge making these noises, you don't have much of a chance at avoiding a preliminary injunction:

Note this is just the birthright citizenship EO.

So those pardons for the J6 people? Brain genius didn't even manage to do that "properly:"

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/the-oath-keepers-want-more-from-trump

Not exactly right. Rhodes, other ringleaders, and few of the other ones charged with specific violent felonies were not pardoned. Their prison sentence was commuted, but the rest of their sentence and conviction stands. Everyone named in the pardon order only got a commutation and deliberately so. Everyone else not named was pardoned in full. Of course Rhodes is being a big baby about this, but gently caress him and the horse he rode in on.

 I didn't even think to check the list of names.

Basically the people that only got a commutation did something bad enough or pissed someone off enough that they didn't get the pardon. It was on purpose, though. It wasn't a mistake.

It almost feels like he's doing all this nonsense cost cutting to take his poker winnings and buy Greenland as, in his mind, it's a sensible business strategy.

Trump isn't personally doing this. The project 2025 people are doing this. Trump is busing yelling at Colombia and Denmark to actually care about the minutia of this poo poo.

The goal of project 2025 is to effective dismantle the federal government and stop all federal poverty assistance. The reasons range from racism to greed, but the cost cutting fucks poor people, gives more money to the wealthy via tax cuts, and gives more money to wealthy people by completely deregulating business. That's the goal and intent here. Trump is letting them do this because it means more money for him and gives him time to go on his vendetta campaign. He's also golfing and getting in a lot of tv watching.

A lot of federal employees just got this email:

https://www.reddit.com/r/fednews/comments/1icfqe7/a_fork_in_the_road_letter_from_hropmgov_fulltext/

Basically - return to office, be 100% in support of the trump train, and be prepared to do the work of four people or resign effective end of fiscal year and you have a week to make your decision or be subject to arbitrary termination.

The now-dead EO just woke up the states and etc on all the held funding:

https://bsky.app/profile/ddayen.bsky.social/post/3lgvkhho3ds2f

It's hard to know if the current litigation on the EO will continue as-is, as it was the main target. Highly likely that the states/NGOs want to keep litigating it because it can come back any minute, while Donnie might not want to because the scalpel approach might've worked in their Impoundment Act attack. Judge might toss it as moot since it's no longer a problem.

They might've gotten away with pausing/stopping things with the energy EO attacking the infrastructure bill with those impoundments, but the chucklefucks at OMB got far too ambitious/stupid and hit programs even normie idiot Voters care about.

Edit: and foreign aid funding is still hosed, though PEPFAR was released.

The freeze isn't dead. The memo was rescinded, but they're still freezing everything per Trump's EOs.

The WH Press Secretary, by tweeting that poo poo earlier, got the judge to grant the various state's request for a TRO restoring the status quo of grant distribution to before Trump started messing with it. They have 24 hours to submit a proposed order and the government has 24 hours to respond. Judge was pissed.
