 After the "World Crash of '79", massive civil unrest and economic ruin occurs. The United States government is restructured into a totalitarian regime under martial law. To pacify the population, the government has created the Transcontinental Road Race, where a group of drivers race across the country in their high-powered cars and which is infamous for violence, gore, and innocent pedestrians being struck and killed for bonus points. O great American multitude and sports fans everywhere, today we inaugurate the 20th Annual Trans-Continental Road Race. Today, the six bravest young men and women in this greatest of nations will risk their lives in the greatest sporting event since the days of Spartacus! Three days hence, a new American champion will be crowned for all the world to behold, in awe, in respect, in fear! All right, all right! This is Ol Opop, your buddy-buddy and mine. And I'll be giving you the blow-by-blow, play-by-play when the kings and queens of the open road roar onto the track! This is a game for 12 players. It will follow the "Legends of the Hidden Temple" ruleset, which was stolen from Ecco as follows: - 6 mason teams, 2 players each. Each player has a mason buddy that is publicly known from before the start of the game. - The roles: 8 Town Racers, 4 Scum Resistance Members. Alignment is assigned randomly after the mason teams are determined. - Nightless game. The Temple Guards don't have a kill, and there are no actions other than posting and voting. - Executions work on a Duel system. At any point during the day, a player may ##challenge another team to a duel. Once a challenge has been issued, only players on either of the two teams involved in the duel may be killed. The game ends when either the Temple Guards outnumber the Adventurers, or are eliminated. Choose a car, grab a navigator, and let's go! Reminder for temple games, one player has to challenge another team and then people can only vote for the players that are in those two teams. Once a challenge has been issued it goes into effect immediately and no other challenges can happen that day. Any votes before a challenge has been issued or for somebody outside of the two groups won't count. Challenge someone by posting ##duel Playername
