Any disappointment I had about not getting to go died once and for all with the 30 minute Trump wankfest pre-race.

That race was fun. Byron is still the EA career mode character incarnate but Jeff Gordon winning makes me happy.

Eh, that's still nothing compared to the 36 Hours of Daytona where it rained for a whole day and then JPM set turn three on fire.

The 60 literally lifting off like a plane is nuts.

It's kind of funny how mystified the guys in the booth were about how a race car with a flat floor could possibly take off and flip over when it pops a wheelie at high speed. It's like back when they tried that stupid wing and the cars kept flipping over every time they went backwards and all the broadcast guys were like "Wow, that's so weird, I wonder why that keeps happening..." when in all of the slo-mo replays you can clearly see the rear deck lids flexing as the wings catch the air and lift the cars straight up off the ground.

Yup, been saying for 2 years that the flat, smooth, bottom needs to be fixed. And the side skirt added to
It because it got damaged in the initial hit, not that much can be done about that though.

Nice design, kidc. Is that your second to hit the track, or are there others beyond it and the CSX scheme?

had to go do the math but i've done 15 total (16 if you count the one that got shelved because of covid). i also didn't design the main csx car, that was before i showed up

I thought there was something about the rescue vehicles carrying a spare so they don't need 2b towed all the way; better yet just carry a spare and a tool on the car itself and have the driver change it
