I got lucky and I got in after the housing market crash and bought my house in 2014. There is absolutely NO way I can afford to buy a home now. I live in Las Vegas and the median home price here is about $450k.. and that's low compared to a lot of other cities in the country. Do you own a home and if not, are you planning or hoping to buy one in the future?

I wouldn't have been able to afford a down payment without that and I wasn't making that much at the time so I was in the (I'm thinking pretty small) category of people that made enough to pay a mortgage but not too much to not be able to qualify for the assistance. Rent costs were so loving high where I was moving that a mortgage for a 3 bedroom house was about the same as renting a studio. And this was before things got really crazy.

My wife and I were looking last year, anything that was remotely affordable either seemed like it was abandoned mid-flip or built in 1910 and really showing it. We found two promising houses for sane prices but they were bought within hours of listing so that's swell.

were putting our cash away each year so far we have about $36K ear marked for a home, and another $16k by the end of this year so our savings being $52k plus my family is gonna help me out with $100k, hopefully my partners family puts in some so thats the plan  its a lot of money, but im not dumb enough not not put some aside for a sweet motorcycle
