What is YOUR goon-y claim to fame? What is something forum related that you have, or have done, where others don't? I'll start -- I'm the only user I know that was banned by Radium, personally. In addition, in the ban, he called me an irritating f*****. Wow, quality!

I've made a bunch of enemies (or at least people who actively dislike me) through SA. I don't really know what to do to be more likeable, but I try, and for some reason people like Spanish Manlove will hold onto that poo poo like a grudge. So my goony claim to fame is apparently being oblivious to social stuff I think I may have also been the final straw in the argument to make the original minorities subforum, where people like Tiny Brontosaurus got up to stupid poo poo. If I remember correctly I told Lowtax that the existence of a complaint is reason enough to address it. I have no claim to fame I just post E: Oh non-SA stuff is included, there are a bunch of games (old ones) on Steam and GOG that just ripped their screenshots from MobyGames which are screenshots I took back in my abandonware days lol, there's also a bunch of still recirculated abandonware DLs of games I specifically had uploaded to FTP servers for AB sites back in the day which I can spot because of the file structure for secondary materials (manuals, patch notes, etc). My homeroom teacher was the school librarian. The homeroom was basically a lame requirement from the state or federal board of education, I forget which, so there was little structure to it. We just hung out, got last minute homework done, or read. So anyways, I'm reading an issue of Shonen Jump, and my homeroom teacher asked me about it. I told her it was young adult manga but between comics they would teach Japanese Kanji or have some other educational or informative article. She took down the name and we never spoke of it again. About two months later I saw copies of Shonen Jump in the library magazine rack. By end of my senior year the library had a small but seemingly growing section of young adult manga.

I preserved the 9/11 thread pre-archives and made AS_BINLADEN for the one SA Photoshop Friday. Well, I was also smacking the giant bouncy ball to and back to the crowd from the front of the stage during Gooncon 2K4. That's something, I guess? Someone called me French Stewart during said event which was funny.

I am peripheral to many goon-y things. One of my Photoshops was used in the All Your Base video I helped fund the Metis swap.avi video (I've never seen it) A creation of mine was the 5th Awful Link of the Day ever I was in a screenshot in PC Gamer from when we all pretended to be Agent Smith in City of Heroes In the early 00s, Wil Wheaton banned me from his website because I made fun of him for hosting a Photoshop contest between somethingawful and Fark I guess I've never done anything notable myself but I've been real close to things being kind of notable.

Back in the LiveJournal days, pre-Tumblr, created an effort post for hurricane donations and updates when multiple storms hit Florida back to back over a summer. So 2004? It got picked up and reposted by a lot of folks, that was nice  Possibly less nice was being a cofounder of a “bad RPers suck” LJ in the early 00s but it was potentially one of the first sources of “hey this person is a creep” in those circles. Made a Yahoo Group for the anime/manga “Petshop of Horrors” that afaik was the first English language source fandom space for it (you’re welcome and/or I’m sorry)

 I think this was originally a Lowtax ban for posting ponies egregiously in 2014 before Geop stepped in, but I've been constantly trying to get people to abandon their goony hang-ups over ponies for the time I've been here. Only other probation is for posting I also won a BYOB contest for apparently being part robot?? That's a bit more recent.

Pretty sure I have the record for most separate stints as a mod, believe it's five? Also pretty sure I have the most bans for page-snyping admin threads (10) from back in The Day™. The actual count is technically higher but there are a bunch on another long-dead user account. I am probably somewhere in the top echelon of the  iest posters ever, like in terms of total word count across everything posted here. I was big into longer-form humor back in the 00s when that poo poo was more common/popular around here; if you add in all the gimmick posts which is literally hundreds of pages, the total count is probably at or near the top just by virtue of posting here so loving long, though it also wouldn't surprise me if I'm overlooking some subforum where folks have been pounding out manifestos for decades and have completely left everyone in the dust

During Survivor: Fiji, I emailed one of the contestants (Yau-Man) at his work email (it was 2006 and poo poo was different and I had no idea how creepy that was in hindsight). Yau-Man and I struck up a bit of a friendship with him and bought him a forums account. When the show was over he came and posted in the Survivor Fiji thread and it was awesome.
