I’ll feel pretty ok if the Hornets can land top three and get one of Flagg, Harper or Edgecombe. Bailey feels like a bust to me and the rest of the high lotto is kind of whatever

According to Vecenie, the draft guy I generally like best, the high lotto outside the top two is weak but there’s some depth down the line.

I realize height isn't everything but if Edgecombe is really only 6'3" that seems not great. He's listed as 6'5" elsewhere so I dunno

Hornets probably end up with Edgecombe which I'm happy with.

I don't think Tidjane Salaun really showed enough for the Hornets to pass on Bailey if they're convinced he's legit, but he does give them enough cover if they have doubts about him. I think Salaun is more likely to hit his median just because he seems fine working really hard to be a 3+D guy Praying that Edgecombe will be there at 4 but unfortunately he seems like the kind of guy SA will love. Wouldn't be totally shocked if Charlotte trades up for Harper if it seems like the Sixers are going to bite on Bailey

Do the Sixers need more guards? Don't know why they'd take Edgecombe when they have Maxey, McCain and can retain Grimes if they want. If they don't want to gamble on Bailey then I think you get what value you can for the pick, the drop from Edgecombe to picks 4-10 doesn't seem that huge

aBagorn posted:I don't actually understand this line of thinking Sure, I just don't think most draft guys think Edgecombe is +++ over the next bunch of players in the draft. If someone in the top ten wants Bailey you can drop a few spots, still get a quality player (possibly at forward where you're starting Paul George and ???) and extra stuff

I've come around on Charlotte taking Bailey in the off chance he falls even though he screams bust and is a terrible fit. The Hornets can just go all-in on willowy 6'8" chuckers that can't get to the hoop and lead the mid-range renaissance
